Engineering PC filament with flame-retardant modification

Bambu Lab PC FR is an engineering polycarbonate filament for parts that require high impact resistance, temperature resistance and improved fire behavior. It is especially suitable for electronic housings, technical covers, brackets, fixtures and functional prototypes where standard materials such as PLA, PETG or ABS are not sufficient.

Important: Print PC FR dry and with stable temperatures

PC FR is a demanding engineering material. For reliable results, a capable high-temperature hotend, heated build plate, enclosed build chamber and dry filament are recommended. Moisture can cause bubbling, stringing and reduced layer adhesion.

PC FR is a specialized engineering filament. The flame-retardant behavior of a printed part depends on material batch, wall thickness, infill, print orientation, part geometry and test method. For standards-related or safety-critical applications, the finished part should be tested and approved according to the relevant standard.
