Carbon-fiber reinforced PET filament for stiff, heat-resistant and dimensionally stable 3D printed parts – ideal for load-bearing structures, fixtures, engineering housings, tools and applications in warm or humid environments.

PET with carbon fiber reinforcement

Bambu Lab PET-CF combines tough PET with carbon fibers for high stiffness, strong mechanical performance, reduced deformation and excellent dimensional stability. Compared to many nylon-based CF materials, PET-CF absorbs less moisture and therefore remains more reliable in humid environments. The material is especially suitable for load-bearing functional parts, engineering fixtures, housings, tools and components exposed to heat, moisture or mechanical stress.

Important: Use a hardened nozzle and print dry

PET-CF is an abrasive engineering filament and should be printed with a wear-resistant or hardened nozzle. For best results, dry the material before printing and keep it as dry as possible during printing. An enclosed build chamber is recommended for stable results, especially for larger or functional parts.

Printing Recommendation

PET-CF is an engineering-grade abrasive filament. For clean results, dry material, a wear-resistant nozzle, heated build plate, glue on the build surface and dry storage are important. PET-CF absorbs less moisture than many PA-CF materials, but should still be dried before printing and processed from a dry filament box for high-quality functional parts.
