Clean support interfaces for PLA prints

Bambu Lab Support for PLA is specifically developed for PLA printing and makes support removal easier after printing. The material is especially useful as a support interface when smooth underside surfaces, fine details and clean contact areas are required. It bonds more weakly to the PLA model material and can therefore be removed more easily by hand or with tools after printing.

Important: Use as support interface

Support for PLA should primarily be used for the contact areas between model and support, not as the entire support volume. This reduces material consumption, saves print time and improves surface quality in critical areas.

Looking for soluble support filament? Use Bambu Lab PVA

Bambu Lab Support for PLA is a breakaway support material and is removed mechanically after printing. If water-soluble support is required – for example for internal cavities, hard-to-reach support structures or especially complex geometries – Bambu Lab PVA is the suitable alternative.

PVA dissolves in water after printing and can significantly simplify post-processing for complex PLA models. Important: PVA is highly moisture-sensitive and should be dried before printing and stored dry.

Printing Recommendation

Support for PLA should primarily be used as a support interface and not as a standalone model material. To maintain good part quality, contamination of the model material should be minimized with suitable purge volumes. For internal or inaccessible support structures, water-soluble PVA is often the better solution.
