The JBC PHBE-2KB IR Preheater Set is an indispensable solution for avoiding thermal shock on multilayer PCBs during rework processes. Designed for maximum reliability and precision, it ensures accurate temperature control of the PCBA so that no component is damaged.

Its composition, consisting of the Preheater and the PHBS PCB Support, provides a complete solution for reworking medium to large PCBAs, such as those commonly found in laptops or PCB panels.

Work Modes

Power Mode: Allows operation at a fixed power level, with the option of using a protection thermocouple.
Temperature Mode: Maintains the PCBA at a selected temperature using a regulation thermocouple and, optionally, protection thermocouples.
Profile Mode: Controls the heating rate of the PCBA using control and protection thermocouples, ensuring recommended temperature limits are not exceeded.

The system includes 25 temperature profiles, providing flexibility for a wide range of rework applications.

PHBS PCB Support

The PHBS Support is perfectly adaptable to any type of PCB thanks to its multiple adjustable components and three selectable clearance positions: 28, 38, or 48 mm (1.1, 1.5, or 1.9 in).
