SUNLU PLA Transparent is an aesthetic PLA filament for models where light transmission, glossy surface and special color depth are desired. The transparent color variants are ideal for decorative objects, lampshades, vases, art models, display parts, prototypes, colored accents and creative 3D printing projects. At the same time, the material remains easy to process like typical PLA.

PLA Transparent creates a clear, glossy and translucent part appearance. Depending on color, wall thickness, infill, layer height and print settings, models can range from lightly translucent to clearly light-transmitting. For the best transparent effect, use thin or consistent walls, low infill, clean extrusion and a smooth outer surface.

Note	FDM prints will not become fully glass-clear. Transparency depends strongly on layer height, wall thickness, temperature, flow, part geometry and post-processing.

Typical Applications

SUNLU PLA Transparent is suitable for printed parts where visual effect, light transmission and easy PLA processing are more important than maximum temperature or impact resistance. For engineering, heat-loaded or highly stressed parts, PETG, ASA, ABS, PA, PC or other technical materials should be considered.

SUNLU PLA Transparent is especially useful when PLA-style easy processing should be combined with transparent appearance, glossy surface and colored light effects. The material is suitable for creative projects, decorative objects, presentation models and all prints where a translucent part appearance is desired.

Note on transparent PLA

Transparent FDM prints are usually translucent, but not fully glass-clear. The best optical effect is usually achieved with adjusted wall thickness, clean outer walls, low infill and optimized print settings. For best results, store filament dry and dry it before printing if needed.
