Bambu Lab TPU 85A

Very flexible TPU filament with Shore hardness 85A for soft, elastic and impact-absorbing 3D printed parts – ideal for protective cases, soft cushioning, dampers, flexible toys, grip zones and functional elastomer components.

Bambu Lab TPU 85A is designed for especially flexible, elastic and impact-absorbing parts. Compared to TPU 90A or TPU 95A HF, TPU 85A is softer and more deformable. This makes it ideal for parts that need to bend, compress, absorb impact or serve as a soft contact surface.

Important: Very flexible feeding and dry filament

TPU 85A is very soft and moisture-sensitive. For clean results, dry the filament before printing, keep it as dry as possible during printing and feed it through a suitable TPU setup or dry filament box. Standard AMS and AMS lite are not suitable for soft TPU filaments; within the AMS series, TPU printing is intended for AMS HT using its dedicated TPU outlet.

Printing Recommendation

TPU 85A is very soft and sensitive to moisture. Wet material can cause stringing, bubbling, inconsistent surfaces and reduced layer adhesion. The elasticity of a part strongly depends on wall loops, infill density, part geometry and print orientation. For flexible functional parts, Shore hardness, wall thickness, infill, moisture condition and load requirements should be tested for the specific application.
