DH Robotics PGC-140-50 – Collaborative Electric Parallel Gripper
The DH Robotics PGC-140-50 is a powerful electric parallel gripper for collaborative and automated robotic applications. With an adjustable gripping force of 40 to 140 N per jaw, a total stroke of 50 mm, and a recommended workpiece weight of up to 3 kg, the gripper is suitable for the automated handling of various workpieces.
The PGC series combines a precision planetary gearbox with a rack and pinion drive, enabling precise and fast movement of the gripper jaws. The specified positional repeatability is ±0.03 mm.
High and adjustable gripping force
The PGC-140-50 offers an adjustable gripping force of 40–140 N per jaw. This allows the gripping force to be adapted to different workpieces and handling tasks. The manufacturer specifies a recommended workpiece weight of 3 kg.
50 mm total stroke
With a total stroke of 50 mm, the parallel gripper provides a comparatively large range of motion for different workpiece sizes. The opening and closing time is 0.75 seconds each.
Precise electric drive
The gripper uses a precision planetary gearbox in combination with a rack and pinion drive. With a positional repeatability of ±0.03 mm, the PGC-140-50 is also suitable for high-precision pick-and-place and handling processes.
For Cobots and Automated Robotics
The PGC-140-50 is designed for use in automated and collaborative applications. Typical areas of application include material sorting, laboratory automation, battery cell handling, and automated loading and unloading.
Modbus RTU and Digital I/O
For integration into robotic systems, Modbus RTU via RS485 and Digital I/O are available as standard interfaces. Optionally, depending on the hardware used, TCP/IP, USB 2.0, CAN 2.0A, PROFINET, and EtherCAT are also supported.
IP67 Protection
With the specified IP67 protection class, the PGC-140-50 is also suitable for applications where increased protection against dust and temporary immersion is required. The actual suitability must always be verified for the fully installed end effector configuration and the specific operating environment.
