LIPSedge™ S315 3D Stereo Camera – Precise 3D Vision with Edge AI
The LIPSedge™ S315 is a compact 3D stereo camera designed for demanding applications in robotics, industrial image processing, 3D measurement, and automated object detection. The active stereo technology generates precise depth information and reliably captures objects and their spatial positions.
With high-resolution RGB and depth capture, integrated Edge AI computing power, and a 6-axis IMU, the S315 is particularly suited for modern robot vision applications that require not just images but precise spatial information.
Precise 3D Depth Capture with Active Stereo
The S315 employs active stereo depth camera technology and captures depth data with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels at up to 30 fps. The specified Z accuracy is ≤ 2 % up to a distance of 2 m and within 80 % of the field of view.
With a depth field of view of 87° × 58° × 95° and a minimum working distance of 0.6 m, the camera can be used for both individual object capture and larger scenarios. The ideal working distance is 4 m and more.
RGB and Depth Image in One System
In addition to the depth camera, the LIPSedge™ S315 features an integrated RGB camera with 1280 × 720 pixels at 30 fps. By combining color images with depth information, objects can not only be detected, but also spatially analyzed and positioned.
The global shutter technology ensures reliable image capture even with moving objects, making the camera suitable for dynamic automation processes.
Edge AI Directly on the Camera
A distinctive feature of the S315 is the integrated computing platform. A Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A55 processor at 1.8 GHz, 1 GB DDR4 RAM, and 8 GB eMMC storage enable the execution of applications directly on the camera.
With a specified AI performance of 4.5 TOPS, neural network applications and AI-based image processing tasks can be executed directly on the device, thereby allowing certain processing steps to be moved closer to the data source.
Integrated 6-Axis IMU
The integrated 6-axis IMU of the Bosch BMI088 type enables the capture of camera movements and orientation changes. This makes the S315 suitable for applications where spatial movements and orientation must be considered.
