Double-sided powder-coated PP spring steel sheet for Prusa 3D printers – specially designed for polypropylene-based filaments with improved adhesion, flexible part removal and a lightly textured surface.

Special print sheet for polypropylene printing

The Prusa PP Powder-coated Print Sheet is a flexible spring steel sheet with a special PP surface. It is designed for materials that are difficult to print reliably on classic PEI, satin or textured print sheets. Especially with PP-based filaments such as Prusament PP Carbon Fiber Black, the surface supports better bed adhesion and makes many PP prints easier and more repeatable.

More adhesion for PP-based filaments

Polypropylene is lightweight, chemically resistant and tough, but it is also prone to warping and usually adheres poorly to many standard surfaces. The PP print sheet provides a surface tailored to polypropylene, helping PP materials adhere better to the print bed. At the same time, the sheet remains flexible so that many cooled parts can be removed by gently flexing the plate.

PP filaments are interesting for chemically resistant, lightweight and tough parts, but they place high demands on adhesion and warp control. The PP Powder-coated Print Sheet provides a surface tuned for polypropylene and reduces the need for adhesives, special films or additional separation layers.

This description is intentionally written in a general way and can be used for different Prusa PP Powder-coated Print Sheets. The correct variant must always be selected for the specific printer and heatbed format. Versions for MK / CORE One format, CORE One L, Prusa Pro HT90 and Original Prusa XL are model-specific and should not automatically be considered interchangeable.

Typical Applications

The PP print sheet is especially useful for polypropylene parts where chemical resistance, low weight, toughness or durable performance are important. Typical applications include functional parts, fixtures, containers, lab accessories, technical prototypes and components made from PP-CF or PP-GF. Since PP can warp significantly, a clean first layer, suitable print profiles and, depending on part size, an enclosure or brim can be helpful.

Care and everyday use

For reliable adhesion, the PP surface should remain clean, dry and free of grease. Fingerprints, dust or filament residues can affect adhesion. Clean the cold sheet with isopropyl alcohol. Acetone must not be used because it can partially dissolve the surface and negatively affect both adhesion and sheet lifespan.
