Bambu Lab Molecular Sieve Desiccant

Molecular sieve desiccant 6-pack for Bambu Lab AMS systems – designed to reduce moisture, protect stored filament and help maintain more stable material conditions inside the AMS.

A drier AMS environment for moisture-sensitive filaments

Bambu Lab Molecular Sieve Desiccant is designed to absorb moisture inside the AMS and help keep the air in the material system drier. Especially with opened filament spools, longer storage periods or moisture-sensitive materials, a suitable desiccant helps reduce print issues such as bubbling, stringing, unstable extrusion or brittle filament.

Molecular sieve instead of classic moisture absorber

The desiccant is based on aluminosilicate and absorbs moisture physically. Compared with classic CaCl₂ desiccants, this is particularly useful for clean AMS workflows because it is intended to avoid gel-like or liquid reaction products. The integrated indicator particles show the moisture state by changing color.

Visible status through color change

The indicator particles inside the desiccant show the moisture status visually. In a dry state they are yellow. After sufficient moisture absorption, they change toward purple. Once the color change is complete, the desiccant should be replaced or regenerated only according to suitable instructions.

Small accessory with a noticeable effect on print quality

Desiccant does not replace proper pre-drying of heavily moisture-loaded filament, but it supports dry AMS storage and helps keep already dried spools in a more stable humidity range for longer.

Usage note

Remove the desiccant from the sealed transparent plastic bag before use and place it in the designated AMS position. Once the color indicator has fully changed, replace the desiccant or regenerate it only according to suitable manufacturer or safety instructions. Store unused packs dry and tightly sealed.
