Depending on the selected version, it is available in different nozzle diameters and combines high-flow internal geometry for increased material throughput with a wear-resistant ObXidian™ construction and E3DLC™ non-stick coating. High-flow nozzle for higher throughput and abrasive materials

The E3D Prusa Nozzle High Flow ObXidian™ combines the proven Prusa Nextruder form factor with optimized internal geometry for higher material flow. At the same time, the ObXidian™ design with a tool steel insert and special E3DLC™ coating provides high wear resistance and reduced plastic build-up on the nozzle. Depending on the selected nozzle diameter, it is suitable either for more detailed prints or for higher flow rates and faster engineering applications.

Drop-in upgrade for Prusa Nextruder

The nozzle has the same form factor as standard Prusa nozzles and can be used without modifying existing mounts or fan ducts. The all-metal filament guide ensures that the filament path through the Nextruder remains fully metal, without a PTFE tube in the hot filament path.

The right diameter for detail, speed and material flow

Choose the nozzle diameter according to your application. Smaller diameters are better for finer details, narrower lines and more precise surfaces. Larger diameters allow higher material throughput, more stable extrusion with engineering filaments and shorter print times for larger parts. The high-flow geometry supports higher volumetric material flow compared to classic standard nozzles.

OBXIDIAN™ FOR ABRASIVE FILAMENTS

Wear-resistant with non-stick coating

ObXidian™ is designed for demanding and abrasive filaments. The tool steel insert provides high hardness and abrasion resistance, while the E3DLC™ coating reduces plastic build-up on the outside of the nozzle. This helps achieve cleaner print results with filled materials and can significantly improve nozzle lifetime compared to classic brass nozzles.

Version selection note

Please choose the nozzle diameter according to the planned material and print profile. After replacing a nozzle, the correct nozzle diameter should be selected in the printer firmware or slicer. Depending on the printer and firmware, a self-test, calibration steps or adjusted material profiles may be useful.
