The Prusa INDX Tool Conversion Kit turns the CORE One/+ into a true multi-material toolchanger. Instead of pushing multiple filaments through one shared melt zone, each material gets its own dedicated tool path. This makes colors, materials and nozzle sizes easier to combine – with less purging, less material waste and more freedom for functional 3D printed parts.

True multi-material capability instead of classic filament switching

INDX works with independent tools. This reduces typical single-nozzle multi-material issues such as material mixing, long purge cycles, large wipe towers and TPU jams in a shared hotend. It is especially useful for users who want to combine colors, rigid and flexible materials, water-soluble supports or abrasive filaments in one workflow.

Combine colors, materials and nozzle sizes flexibly

With the Prusa INDX toolchanger, different materials can be combined in a single print: rigid and flexible sections, PETG with TPU grip zones, PLA with PVA support, abrasive materials with hardened nozzles or different nozzle sizes for detail and infill areas. Each tool stays ready and can be picked up when needed.

Upgrade instead of a new printer

The INDX kit is designed as a conversion kit for the Prusa CORE One/+. The existing printer is upgraded with a Smart Head, tool docks, passive tools, PTFE routing and a top cover. Existing print sheets, filaments, PrusaSlicer profiles and the familiar Prusa workflow can continue to be used.

A calibration system mounted outside the print area supports precise toolhead offsets and significantly shortens calibration time per tool.

Open Prusa workflow

Preparation and control are handled through PrusaSlicer, EasyPrint, Prusa Connect and the familiar Prusa workflow – ideal for makers, labs, schools and businesses.
