The Original Prusa MMU3 Enclosed upgrades the Prusa CORE One and CORE One+ with automatic multi-color and multi-material printing using up to five filaments. The assembled unit is especially convenient for users who want to start faster while keeping the enclosed CORE One design. With PrusaSlicer and EasyPrint, models can be painted, prepared and printed directly as multi-color jobs.

Enclosed version: Keep the CORE One closed

The Enclosed version of the MMU3 includes a modified top cover so the CORE One can remain fully enclosed even with the MMU3 installed. This is especially useful when printing materials that benefit from a more stable print environment or when the printer should integrate cleanly into workshops, offices, schools or labs.

With the MMU3, single-color models can be turned into multi-color prints. In PrusaSlicer, surfaces can be painted using the brush, smart fill or bucket tools. EasyPrint offers an especially simple entry point directly in the browser or on a smartphone. The MMU3 then handles automatic filament swaps during printing.

Less filament waste during color changes

The MMU3 uses smart ramming and stamping strategies together with a compact wipe tower. Additional PrusaSlicer functions such as Wipe to Infill and Wipe to Object can be used to make better use of purge material. This keeps multi-color printing cleaner, more predictable and more efficient than many classic single-nozzle multi-material systems.
