Compact drying box for everyday 3D printing

The SUNLU FilaDryer S2 is a space-saving filament dryer for one spool and is ideal for keeping moisture-sensitive filament dry before or during printing. With upper and lower heating, a bottom fan, humidity monitoring and display operation, many common materials can be prepared in a controlled way. The S2 is especially practical for workshops, hobby setups, offices, small print farms and users who regularly print PLA, PETG, TPU or engineering filaments.

360° surrounding heat for more even drying

Moist filament can cause stringing, bubbling, brittle parts, unstable extrusion and poor surface quality. The FilaDryer S2 heats the spool from upper and lower heating plates and distributes warmth inside the box with a bottom fan. This prepares filament more evenly and allows it to be fed directly from the drying box while printing.

Filament stays dry until it enters the printer

The S2 can dry filament before printing and continue feeding it from the box while the print job is running. This is especially helpful for long prints or materials that quickly reabsorb moisture. The enclosed design also helps protect the spool from dust and ambient air, while temperature, time, humidity and material selection remain clearly visible on the display.

The large display shows the key values directly: temperature, drying time, humidity, selected filament and countdown. Depending on the material, a suitable drying profile can be selected or the temperature can be adjusted manually. This keeps operation simple even when switching between different filament types.

At temperatures close to 70 °C, check whether the filament spool can tolerate the selected temperature. Not every plastic or cardboard spool is suitable for high drying temperatures. For best results, choose temperature and drying time according to the filament datasheet or manufacturer recommendation.
