SUNLU PETG-CF is a carbon-fiber reinforced PETG filament with 10% carbon fiber content for robust, stiffer and dimensionally stable 3D printed parts. It combines PETG-style toughness and durability with a matte carbon look, reduced layer visibility and improved dimensional accuracy. The material is suitable for functional parts, housings, brackets, jigs, drone frames, tools, structural parts and technical prototypes. Due to the abrasive carbon fibers, a hardened or abrasion-resistant nozzle is recommended; for best results, store the filament dry and dry it before printing if needed.

PETG reinforced with carbon fiber

SUNLU PETG-CF combines the toughness and durability of PETG with carbon fiber reinforcement for higher stiffness, improved dimensional stability and a matte technical surface. The material is especially suitable for functional parts, housings, brackets, jigs, structural parts, drone components, workshop parts, prototypes and premium technical models.

More stable than standard PETG, easier than many high-performance CF materials

PETG-CF is a strong choice when standard PETG is too glossy, too flexible or not technical enough in appearance. The carbon fiber fill improves stiffness and dimensional accuracy, while PETG keeps its tough and durable material behavior. The matte carbon surface visually reduces layer lines and gives parts a professional, functional look.

IMPORTANT FOR CF FILAMENTS

Use a hardened nozzle

Carbon-fiber filled filaments are more abrasive than unfilled PETG. For reliable long-term use, a hardened or abrasion-resistant nozzle should be used. A 0.4 mm nozzle may work depending on the printer, but a 0.6 mm nozzle is often more robust for fiber-filled materials and helps reduce wear or clogging risk. Extruder gears, filament paths and AMS/material systems should also be checked for abrasive filament compatibility.

Note on PETG-CF

PETG-CF is abrasive and should be printed with a hardened or abrasion-resistant nozzle. The filament can absorb moisture and should be stored dry. If the spool has been opened for a while or surface quality is poor, dry it before printing. For food-related applications, heavily abrasive use or safety-critical parts, suitability should be checked separately.
