High-performance PAHT carbon-fiber filament for stiff, heat-resistant and more moisture-resistant 3D printed parts – ideal for engineering prototypes, fixtures, tools, molds and low-volume production parts.

High-temperature nylon with carbon fiber reinforcement

Bambu Lab PAHT-CF combines the low water absorption of PA12-based polyamide with the high stiffness and dimensional stability of carbon fiber reinforcement. The material is designed for demanding engineering applications where high heat resistance, mechanical durability, good layer adhesion and stable properties even in humid conditions are required. This makes PAHT-CF especially suitable for functional prototypes, fixtures, injection molds, jigs, tools and low-volume production parts.

Important: Print dry and use a hardened nozzle

PAHT-CF is an abrasive engineering-grade filament. For reliable results, a hardened steel nozzle, enclosed build chamber, heated build plate, glue on the build surface and dry filament are recommended. Despite its lower water absorption compared to many PA-CF materials, PAHT-CF should be dried before printing and processed as dry as possible.

Printing Recommendation

PAHT-CF should still be processed dry despite its lower water absorption. Moisture can affect surface quality, dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties. For best results, dry the filament before printing, print from a dry filament box, use a hardened nozzle and test part geometry, print orientation, wall thickness and infill for the specific application.
