Dedicated support / interface filament for ABS prints with clean support surfaces, easy removal and reliable AMS workflow – ideal for complex ABS parts, overhangs, contact surfaces and functional prototypes.

Clean support interfaces for ABS prints

Bambu Lab Support for ABS is specifically developed for ABS printing and makes support removal easier after printing. The material is especially useful as a support interface when smooth underside surfaces, clean contact areas and less post-processing are required for ABS parts. In combination with AMS, the support material can be used automatically in the relevant support areas.

Important: Support for ABS is not a soluble filament

Bambu Lab Support for ABS is an easy-removal support material for ABS, but not a water-soluble support filament. It is removed mechanically after printing and is not soluble in water according to the technical data. For best results, print the filament dry, use suitable build plate adhesion and store it protected from moisture.

Bambu Lab Support for ABS is optimized for ABS, but it is not soluble. If a soluble support material for engineering plastics is required, we recommend Xioneer VXL 111A.

Xioneer VXL 111A is a soluble high-performance support material for demanding FFF prints and is especially suitable for engineering model materials such as ABS, ASA, PA, PC, PPS, PAEK, PEEK or PEKK. It is not soluble in pure water, but is removed using Xioneer VXL EX or VXL solve in a mild alkaline solution.

Printing Recommendation

Support for ABS should primarily be used as a support interface for ABS prints. To maintain good part strength, avoid unnecessary contamination of the model material with support filament; sufficient purge volume and suitable AMS settings are important. For truly soluble support structures with engineering plastics, Xioneer VXL 111A is the more suitable alternative.
