DH Robotics AG-160-95 – Adaptive Electric Gripper
The DH Robotics AG-160-95 is an adaptive electric two-finger gripper designed for flexible workpiece handling with robots and cobots. Its adaptive gripping structure makes it suitable for handling round, spherical, and irregularly shaped workpieces.
With an adjustable gripping force of 45 to 160 N per jaw, a stroke of 95 mm, and a recommended workpiece weight of up to 3 kg, the AG-160-95 is designed for various handling tasks. The position repeatability is ±0.03 mm.
Adaptive Grasping of Different Workpiece Shapes
The adaptive gripping structure of the AG-160-95 allows the gripper fingers to adjust to different workpiece geometries. This makes the gripper particularly suitable for round, spherical, and irregular workpieces, where a classic parallel gripper might be limited.
High Gripping Force and Large Stroke
The AG-160-95 offers a gripping force of 45–160 N per jaw and a total stroke of 95 mm. The recommended workpiece weight is up to 3 kg. Thus, the gripper is suitable for both smaller workpieces and more demanding handling tasks.
Fast and Precise Motion
The opening and closing time is 0.9 seconds each. With a position repeatability of ±0.03 mm, the AG-160-95 supports precisely repeatable pick-and-place, positioning, and assembly processes.
Mechanical Structure
The gripper employs a screw nut and joint mechanism. The two-finger design combines adaptive movement with a compact structure. The gripper weighs 1 kg and measures 184.6 × 162.3 × 67 mm.
For Robots and Cobots
The AG-160-95 has been developed for integration into automated robotic and collaborative applications. Documented application areas include machine tools, automotive components, precise positioning, and flexible material handling.
Modbus RTU and Digital I/O
For connection to robot controllers, Modbus RTU over RS485 and Digital I/O are available as standard interfaces. Additionally, TCP/IP, USB 2.0, CAN 2.0A, PROFINET, and EtherCAT are listed as optional interfaces.
24 V DC and IP54
The AG-160-95 operates on 24 V DC ±10 %. The specified protection class is IP54. The manufacturer states a rated current of 0.8 A and a peak current of 1.5 A.
