DH Robotics PGC-50-35 – Collaborative Electric Parallel Gripper
The DH Robotics PGC-50-35 is a compact electric parallel gripper from the PGC series for collaborative robotic applications and automated workpiece handling. With an adjustable gripping force of 15 to 50 N per jaw and a total stroke of 37 mm, the gripper is suitable for the precise handling of small and lightweight workpieces.
The manufacturer specifies a recommended workpiece weight of 1 kg as well as a position repeatability of ±0.03 mm. Opening and closing occur within 0.7 seconds each.
Adjustable Gripping Force
The gripping force can be adjusted in the range of 15–50 N per jaw. This allows the gripping force to be adapted to different workpieces and handling tasks. The recommended workpiece range is up to 1 kg.
Compact Stroke and Fast Movement
With a total stroke of 37 mm, the PGC-50-35 is suitable for applications with small to medium gripping distances. The opening and closing time is 0.7 seconds each, enabling short cycle times for automated handling tasks.
Precise Drive
The electric gripper uses a precision planetary gearbox with rack and pinion drive. The specified position repeatability of ±0.03 mm supports repeatable pick-and-place, positioning, and assembly processes.
For Cobots and Robotics
The PGC-50-35 is designed for integration into collaborative robot and automation applications. DH Robotics lists applications such as material sorting, laboratory automation, battery cell handling, and loading and unloading production lines for the PGC series.
Modbus RTU and Digital I/O
For integration into robotic systems, Modbus RTU over RS485 and Digital I/O are available as standard interfaces. Optionally, depending on configuration, TCP/IP, USB 2.0, CAN 2.0A, PROFINET, and EtherCAT are also supported.
Compact Design and IP54
Weighing only 0.5 kg and measuring 124 × 63 × 63 mm, the PGC-50-35 is suitable for compact robot end effectors. The specified protection class is IP54.
24 V DC Power Supply
The gripper operates with 24 V DC ±10 %. The nominal current is 0.25 A, with a peak current of 0.5 A.
