LIPSedge™ T235 – FPGA-accelerated ToF 3D camera for reliable depth detection
The LIPSedge™ T235 is a compact ToF 3D depth camera designed for precise detection of persons, objects, and environments. By combining Time-of-Flight technology, VGA depth resolution, and integrated FPGA acceleration, the T235 provides stable and responsive 3D data for industrial and real-world applications.
With a depth resolution of 640 × 480 pixels at up to 60 fps, a Z-accuracy of ≤1 %, and a maximum operating distance of over 6 m, the camera is particularly suitable for applications requiring reliable spatial information and rapid processing.
Powerful ToF 3D depth detection
The LIPSedge™ T235 employs Time-of-Flight (ToF) to determine distances based on the phase shift of reflected infrared light. The active depth detection allows for reliable recognition even under changing light conditions and supports the creation of precise depth maps and 3D point clouds.
FPGA acceleration for fast processing
An integrated FPGA efficiently processes depth data directly on the camera. This enables the provision of stable depth data at high speed, alleviating downstream applications in image processing and spatial analysis.
940 nm VCSEL infrared illumination
For active depth detection, the T235 uses 940-nm infrared illumination with VCSEL technology (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser). The invisible infrared light allows for reliable depth detection without affecting the scene with visible lighting.
Precise 3D data for real environments
The camera generates consistent 3D depth maps and point clouds, serving as a basis for spatial analyses, object recognition, and further machine vision applications. With a horizontal field of view of 85.1° and a vertical field of view of 69°, the T235 can capture a wide area.
Compact design for flexible integration
With dimensions of only 81.9 × 35.7 × 23.0 mm and a weight of just 98 g, the LIPSedge™ T235 can be integrated into space-critical systems. Connectivity is provided via USB Type-C, supporting Windows, Linux, and Jetson Linux.
