Post-curing unit for SLA 3D printed parts – with 405 nm light and convection heating up to 100 °C for validated, repeatable results at the push of a button.

Post-curing for full material properties

Post-curing completes the chemical reaction that starts during printing. It increases strength, toughness, heat and creep resistance and leaves a harder, less tacky surface. For biocompatible materials, it is required to meet mandated safety standards. The Form Cure V2 combines 405 nm light with precisely controlled heat and offers validated presets for over 45 Formlabs materials.

Light and heat, precisely matched

48 multi-directional LEDs expose parts with a uniform irradiance of 14.5 mW/cm² at 405 nm. A convection heating system brings the chamber up to 100 °C – in the 230 V version it reaches 60 °C in 150 seconds and 80 °C in 360 seconds. Standard resins cure in 60 seconds, engineering and biocompatible resins in 3 to 15 minutes.

Room for full print jobs

The 23.5 cm turntable and a maximum part height of 24.5 cm fit complete Form 4 print jobs, large single parts or full production batches. Parts rotate during curing so every side is exposed evenly. The glass turntable is easy to clean.

OPERATION

Choose a profile, start curing

After washing and drying, parts are placed on the turntable through the side-hinged door. Then select one of the validated curing profiles for the Formlabs material used and start curing at the push of a button. Advanced users can adjust time and temperature to their own requirements.
