Drying and storage in one modular system

The SUNLU FilaDryer SP2 combines a powerful heating base with a separate, removable filament storage box. This allows filament to be actively dried and then stored protected in the same box. The modular design is especially useful for workshops, print farms, offices and hobby setups, because multiple storage boxes can be prepared, stacked and used flexibly with the heating base depending on the material.

Split design: heating base + storage box

Unlike classic one-piece filament dryers, the SP2 separates the active heating base from the filament box. After drying, the box can continue to be used as a storage container. Silicone seals, airlocks and desiccant help keep humidity inside the box low. The integrated hygrometer allows humidity to be checked directly at the box.

MODULAR FILAMENT WORKFLOW

One heating base, multiple storage boxes, better filament organization

The split design makes the SP2 especially flexible: filament can be dried in the box, printed directly from the box and then stored protected afterwards. Additional storage boxes can be prepared separately and stacked to save space. This helps organize different materials, colors or spool sizes without needing a complete heating base for every spool.

The FilaDryer SP2 internal chamber is designed for many common spool formats. The box supports 0.25 to 3 kg spools, two 1 kg spools, one 2 kg spool or one 3 kg spool. Filament can be guided out of the box during printing via the side filament outlets and included PTFE tubes.

Drying note

The ideal drying temperature and drying time depend on the filament type, moisture level, spool size and the material supplier’s recommendations. PVA, TPU, PA, PC and other hygroscopic materials should be dried sufficiently before critical print jobs and then stored as dry as possible.
